🎃 A Spooky-Sweet Halloween Adventure! ❄️

Hey everyone, it’s your favorite fall spirit, Autumn-chan! I just had the most incredible Halloween evening, and I absolutely have to share every magical moment with you all! This year, Winter-kun and I decided to go all out with a special costume theme, and let me tell you—it was EPIC! 🧡💙

The Meetup – Corner of Spooky & Spectacular! 🌙

As the sun started to set and the October sky turned that perfect shade of twilight purple, I made my way to our meeting spot on the corner of Maple and Oak Street. The neighborhood was already buzzing with Halloween energy—jack-o’-lanterns glowing on porches, spiderwebs draped across fences, and the crisp autumn air carrying that perfect hint of woodsmoke and fallen leaves. I was SO excited to see Winter-kun’s costume!

When I spotted him walking up the street, I actually gasped out loud! Winter-kun looked absolutely stunning dressed as Jinu from KPop Demon Hunters! He was wearing Jinu’s sleek stage outfit—a fitted black jacket with silver accents and chains, paired with dark pants that had this amazing urban-meets-fantasy vibe. His icy blue-white hair (which he already has naturally, lucky him!) was styled perfectly to match Jinu’s look, and he even had those piercing contacts that gave him that mysterious demon-hunter energy! The whole outfit had this cool, sophisticated edge that was so perfectly Winter-kun! ❄️✨

“Autumn-chan!” he called out, and then he stopped in his tracks when he saw me. His eyes widened. “Wow… you look amazing!”

I did a little spin to show off my costume! I was dressed as Rumi, the fearless leader of HUNTR/X and Jinu’s complicated love interest from the same series! My outfit was this incredibly cool streetwear-inspired stage look—a cropped bright yellow bomber jacket with bold black accents on the collar, cuffs, and zipper. The jacket had these awesome graphic details and colorful patterns all over it, plus patches and this edgy spiked padding on the left shoulder that made me feel like a total badass! 💛🖤

Underneath, I wore a white mockneck crop top with a couple of necklaces (because what K-pop idol doesn’t accessorize, right?), paired with high-waisted dark denim shorts and a pink belt with a cute little norigae charm dangling from it. And of course, I had on black platform boots with red stripes that made me feel like I could kick some serious demon butt! Oh, and I spent FOREVER getting my signature braid just right—it trailed all the way down my back, just like Rumi’s!

“You look pretty incredible yourself, Winter-kun!” I said, beaming at him. “That Jinu look is perfect on you! You’ve got that whole mysterious-reformed-demon thing down!”

He smiled—one of those rare, genuine Winter-kun smiles that makes everything feel warmer despite his cool aesthetic. “We make a good team. Just like in the series.”

“The demon hunter and her unexpected ally,” I said with a grin. “Ready to collect some candy and cause some wholesome chaos?”

“Lead the way, Rumi,” he said with a playful smirk.

Trick-or-Treating Through the Neighborhood! 🍬👻

We set off down the decorated streets, our costume boots clicking on the sidewalk as groups of kids in various costumes rushed past us. The neighborhood had really gone all out this year! Every house seemed to be competing for the spookiest or most creative decorations.

“Trick or treat!” we called out at the first house, where a friendly couple dressed as vampires complimented our costumes immediately.

“Oh wow, are you two from that new animated movie? KPop Demon Hunters?” the woman asked, dropping extra candy into our bags.

“Yes!” I said excitedly. “I’m so glad you recognized us!”

As we continued down the street, we kept getting stopped by people wanting to take photos or compliment our coordinated costumes. One mom even said her daughter was obsessed with the movie and would be so jealous she missed meeting us! It made me feel like a real K-pop idol for the night! 🎤✨

At one particularly spooky house decorated with a full graveyard scene and fog machines, Winter-kun and I joked about how we should be the ones protecting the neighborhood from any real demons that might show up. “Good thing we’re here to keep everyone safe,” I said dramatically, striking a heroic pose.

“Though I think the scariest thing we’ll encounter tonight is how much candy you’re going to eat,” Winter-kun teased.

“Hey! It’s Halloween! Candy consumption rules don’t apply!” I protested, laughing.

By the time we’d made our way through several blocks, our bags were getting satisfyingly heavy with treats. A little girl dressed as a witch ran up to us and tugged on my jacket. “I love your costume! You look so cool!”

My heart absolutely melted! “Thank you so much, sweetie! I love your witch costume too!” She ran back to her parents, waving enthusiastically, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Moments like that are what make Halloween so special! 🧡

The Halloween Party – Spooky Snacks & Cozy Vibes! 🔥🎬

After our trick-or-treating adventure, Winter-kun and I headed to a Halloween party that some friends were hosting in their backyard. And let me tell you, they had transformed their yard into the ultimate Halloween hangout! String lights were draped between trees, carved pumpkins lined the fence, and there was a crackling fire pit in the center surrounded by cozy seating areas.

The food table was absolutely loaded with Halloween treats! There were mummy hot dogs, witch finger cookies, a bubbling cauldron of punch (dry ice and all!), ghost-shaped pizzas, candy corn everything, and so many other creative spooky snacks! I immediately grabbed a plate and started sampling everything while Winter-kun shook his head at my enthusiasm. What can I say? I take my Halloween snacking very seriously! 🍕🍪

“You’re going to be on a sugar high until next week,” Winter-kun commented as I reached for a cupcake decorated like a little monster.

“That’s the plan!” I said cheerfully, taking a big bite.

The party was full of people in amazing costumes—I spotted someone wearing one of our Halloween Cat Shirts with the cute black cat and pumpkin design, and I got so excited I had to go compliment them! “I love your shirt!” I gushed.

“Thanks! I got it from Pixels and Petals!” they said. “You guys have the cutest Halloween stuff!“

That made my whole night even better! Seeing people actually wearing and loving our designs in the wild is the best feeling ever! 💛

As the evening went on, we all gathered around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and make s’mores. There’s something so perfectly cozy about sitting around a crackling fire on a chilly Halloween night, watching the sparks drift up toward the stars while you’re surrounded by friends in ridiculous costumes. Winter-kun and I worked together to make the perfect s’mores—he was surprisingly particular about getting the marshmallow golden brown on all sides, while I was team “slightly burnt is better!” 🔥

“You’re going to burn it,” Winter-kun warned as my marshmallow caught fire.

“It adds flavor!” I insisted, blowing it out quickly.

“If you say so,” he said with an amused smile, carefully rotating his own marshmallow over the flames.

After we’d had our fill of s’mores (and I had definitely eaten way too much sugar at this point), everyone moved to the outdoor movie area they’d set up. They had a projector screen and had arranged hay bales and blankets for seating. We settled in to watch some classic horror movies—they started with something fun and not-too-scary, then moved into some genuinely creepy ones as the night got darker. 🎃

I’m not great with really scary movies (don’t judge me!), so during the intense parts, I might have grabbed Winter-kun’s arm a few times. He didn’t say anything about it, just sat there calmly like the monsters on screen didn’t faze him at all. That’s Winter-kun for you—cool and collected even in the face of fictional terror!

Between movies, we’d take breaks to chat with friends, grab more snacks, and warm up by the fire. The whole atmosphere was just perfect—that magical combination of spooky and cozy that only Halloween can deliver. Someone mentioned they were thinking about decorating their apartment with some Halloween posters, and I immediately recommended our Witch Cat Poster and the Halloween Castle Poster with the bats and jack-o’-lanterns. “They’d look amazing on your walls!” I said. “Perfect spooky-cute vibes year-round if you ask me!”

As the party started winding down around midnight, Winter-kun and I said our goodbyes to everyone and headed out into the quiet neighborhood streets. Most of the trick-or-treaters had gone home, and jack-o’-lanterns were starting to flicker out on porches. There was something peaceful about the aftermath of Halloween—like the magic was still lingering in the air even as things settled down.

The Walk to the Station – A Perfect Ending 🚂🌙

“I’ll walk you to the train station,” Winter-kun offered as we left the party.

“You don’t have to do that!” I protested, even though I was secretly hoping he would.

“I know,” he said simply. “But it’s late, and besides, it’s nice walking through the neighborhood like this.”

He was right. The walk through the decorated streets was beautiful in the quiet of the late evening. Our footsteps echoed softly on the sidewalk, and occasionally we’d pass a house where you could still see families inside, kids probably counting their candy haul or parents helping them out of their costumes.

“Tonight was really fun,” I said as we walked. “I’m so glad we did the matching costumes! We made a pretty good Rumi and Jinu, don’t you think?”

“We did,” Winter-kun agreed. “The dynamic between those characters is interesting.”

“Right? The whole demon hunter and reformed demon thing!” I said enthusiastically. “Though I think our version of the evening—with candy and s’mores instead of actual demon battles—is much more my speed!”

Winter-kun smiled at that. “Much better.”

As we approached the train station, I felt that familiar bittersweet feeling that comes at the end of a really perfect day. I didn’t want the night to end, but I was also so grateful for every moment we’d shared.

“Thank you for tonight, Winter-kun,” I said as we reached the platform. “For the costume coordination, for trick-or-treating with me, for protecting me from scary movie monsters… for everything.”

“Anytime, Autumn-chan,” he said warmly. “Though next time, maybe we pick costumes from a series with less demon-fighting?”

I laughed. “Deal! Maybe something with more cake-eating and less world-saving?”

The sound of my approaching train echoed through the station. Winter-kun waited with me until it pulled up, and as I stepped toward the doors, I turned back to wave.

“See you soon?” I called out.

“Definitely,” he promised. “Stay safe getting home!”

As the train pulled away and I watched Winter-kun’s figure get smaller on the platform, I couldn’t help but smile. What a perfect Halloween adventure! From our epic costumes to trick-or-treating through the neighborhood, the cozy party with s’mores and scary movies, and that sweet walk to the station—every moment was pure magic. 🧡

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, and this year definitely didn’t disappoint! Getting to share it with Winter-kun made it even more special. There’s something wonderful about having friends who’ll dress up in coordinated costumes with you, brave the scary movies even when you’re a total wimp (that’s me!), and make sure you get home safely at the end of the night.
